Why has papa vanished from the Surface?
Papa was encouraged to meet the two Medusas.

Medusa #1: upside down - Head in Water
Medusa #2 – laying with her right side down - as well in Water
Both of them since when – you can see at the photo above.
It’s dark and wet. And huge. And a bit scary - the subterrain sounds.
And it’s from the ancient time – what can
we meet here? At the end..
Underground as it is – ancient Byzants – Miklagard. What was this underground Cistern used for? For what purpose?
Relief, a modern Café – in the Cistern.
It was really nice to come up again..

This is a very scary looking okace---WITH SO much History....I'm not sure I would want to stay down there for any extended length of time....

You'd have to be sure you didn't have a subterranean phobia, Tor! I can see why you'd want to come out into the sunlight...kinda like after being on a submarine for awhile!
I am enjoying catching up on your blog and reading about your trip to Turkey. It's such a lovely country and I'd like to visit there someday. Your grandson is so cute!
I have been there too, isn't this an amazing place ? I also made quiet a lot of pictures there, they must be on my travel blog.
No doubt Istanbul is mysterious place, an historical place wich has so much to tell!!! A door between the occidental and oriental world!
