Easter - Stompa - Summerhouse

CATS ON TUESDAY
As you may recall, we were catsitters for Stompa this Easter. And were supposed to go to our Summerhome last Wednesday. My back said: NO. We went Thursday (Torsdag - get it from now on?).

Rosa, Felicia, Stompa, Anna, me and the car filled up. It is not far way. About 30 minutes by car. Unless accidents in one of the 6 tunnels. Yes, 35% of the road is in tunnels. The longest 7,3 km (4,5 miles) under the Oslofjord.

It is so easy to pack the car with everything ++ we need. But the Cats... Ha-ha. They don't need to see the cadge. They don't need the smell. They read our inner thoughts. They hate to sit in a cadge. They hate driving. Pollution and torture at the same time. Maybe that's the same thing with different names. It allways takes much longer to catch them and bring them into the cadges, than the whole trip.
Rosa is the easiest one. Strange, 'cause she is the one that get "car-sick".
Felicia, she is so strong. That little creature. Anna can not bring her down from her fav resting place. No chance. I have to use all my force (strong man.LoL) to bring her down and into the gadge.
Stompa, what about him. He is shy. Just been with us for two days. Did he hide? Guess.

Well, we came across that line as well, and started our Easter Hollyday. Some cat-music, of course. Specially in the tunnels. The 3 of them could not understand why papa did hide the Sun. And curves. How stupid twolegs are. Go straight ahead.

The drive went very well. Until 4 minutes before the Summerhouse. The smell from Stompa. Ha - he has the same smell as his late mother. It stinked. To be polite. Opened the Sun roof. Relief.

When we arrived - first thing: Cats out. All of them know the place. And love it. Can't tell with words how they enjoy the meeting with their summer paradise. Look at the pictures. Can you see them?
The black Cat is a regular visitor. Accepted by both Rosa and Felicia. He lives in the neighbourhood. But allways meet up for breakfast and dinner. We think he is a more or less a Norwegian Forester.
But it was cold. Frost at nights. Snowing on Easter day. Stompa ran away. We went home with Rosa and Felicia. We left Stompa. How cruel. But he is used to stay out at nights.

On Monday, I drove to S. just arriving from Madrid, and we went out to the summerhouse to bring him back. He is back. And happy.
However, what's better than home? Snowcovered Flowers. When the springflowers are covered with snow. Home - a place to rest. A place to recover. A place to love.

Taking your kitties with you to your summer place is an adventure! I'm glad you were able to go back and get Stompa. I'm sure he is happy to be home. Your cats are beautiful -- nice pictures!

Awwwww. I'm glad you got back Stompa safe and sound!

Funny description of driving with them in the car and the cat music!

One time we lost my sister's kitten for weeks and weeks when we were minding her here at our house. We thought she was gone forever for sure. Eventually a neighbour saw her in her backyard. It's a good thing we made up all those signs to post around the neighbourhood. Needless to say, we haven't been asked to mind Snowball ever again! LOL (I think she was afraid of our new puppy and that's why she ran away)

Wonderful post! Your kitties look so happy at your summer house. I have never had happy car cats either.

I know someone who takes his two Siamese cats in his airplane and they are as happy as anything sitting on the back of the back seat looking out the window as he leaves to take off!

I lived the whole story with you ! Especially the car trip ! I know very well what it is especially with Arthur's loud voice ! Leaving Stompa behind must have been terrible I think Mr. Gattino would have got a nervous brakedown. I could disappear without any problem but not one of his cats !
Have nice holidays and take care of your back heat is always good !

Wow, look at that snow! I am glad Stompa had the sense to come back to you... outside in such cold is no place for a kitty. Inside next to the fire is much better.

Wonderful photos. Sorry to hear that you lost Stompa for a bit, but glad you went back to get him! I'm only allowed out on a harness or in my stroller, so I can't get lost. It looks very nice at your summer house!

Beautiful cats! And the black and white visitor also.
Cat music.. interesting. We have a cat with a very soft and tiny voice, untill he is forced to go somewhere in the car. Then there is a loud and shrill voice nobody has ever heard!

Your move to the summer house is complete, even with the arguments of the cats. Why you two-legs must move them about, they cry. Even with snow upon the flowers it is a lovely place. Enjoy your holiday!

Wow, cats that get to go on vacation with their people! I hope mine don't find out----they have to stay at home with the cat sitter. That was sad about Stompa; I know you were relieved to find him again. Bet he won't try running off again. Love the snow on the flowers!

Sorry, I'm in a hurry as usual these days, just a short reminder about the big shopping day tomorrow thursday for the cruise ball.

I've posted 1 rule about it on my blog :-)

@To all of you: Thanks for such lovely and sweet comments. You may have recalled I'll be away this week - without knowing to have any internet access. Just got it. For how long? Thanks to The Company that brings you Small Bills - Tele2 - in 2007 they can offer you 3-10 ten days for repairing their own server, to bring you back on the net. They even send you a Big Bill for reporting their server is down.Tell the world.

PS. I'll try to do a short post from where I'm just now.
