Boats on Monday

I'm born close to the Sea. I'm fascinated by boats. All fashions, sizes and shapes. And have a deep respect for the rescueres .
I've travelled with steamships - wheel steemers - "jet" engine boats - canoes - kayakcs - row-boats - day-cruisers - luxus-crusiers - ferries and Cruise ships - Channel carriers - from the smallest to the largests. Have had several Vacations in small boats. Even writing about it as pro ------

So I thougt:
Boats at Mondays --- why not?
Just present ONE photo. And tell with some short words - ---

Like here:

Summer - 2007 - a season to be remebered as "Green Winter" in Southern Norway - I took this photo ... of boats - everymans boats - oh, yeah - the dream - A summer with our small boats - going out to the Islands - relaxe - discover the unsettled Islands - beeing alone - or beeing together - meeting new "boat" friends.

- luxury to come--- and sport as well - boating life - all kinds. Please enjoy

Les bateaux! J'adore! I didn't meet you in Edinburgh still! Where are you?

My first visit to Bormes les Mimosas was back in 1967. Can you believe?

I'm very happy that you can write to me in your mothers tongue, as I understand very (?) well - but feel sorrow to use a language not my own to really communicate as I would prefere to

I hope many bloggers will join this sidetrack to the Lifecruiser Cyber Cruise, an excellent idea Tor. And I feel that it might attract more men too, which I like of course ;-)

*giggles*

Yes, I love boats, too, Tor. My brothers and I had a small yacht as kids as well as a clinker build dinghy. Then later on, my ex and I had a small runabout and used to go way out in the harbour fishing all day...wonderful.

At one stage, I was friends with a guy who had an ocean going racing yacht...that was fun.

Aaah, memories. That's what you post on Boats has done...but it was good.

As I have told you before, I love the sea and boats. We have just a little bit of water here in my town-- a few reservoirs and the main river is not really navigable. Therefore, I see very few boats on a daily basis. :-(

I shall enjoy seeing your boat photos!

Hmmm. I'll have to leave this one to you lot. I love the sea - from dry land only, and preferably no wind, rain or other weather things.

What should one do with a boat in Belgtium ? There is not even a big lake yes maybe for a paddle boat. So I don't know anything about boats besides the Ferry boat to England or the cruise ship on the Nile and through the mediteranian sea. I have never been on a sailing boat but have seen a lot now in Eastbourne.

Being by the sea, boats must truly be a part of your life and mind. I love boats and am heading up to do some canoeing tomorrow night for 10 days.

This is an excellent idea! We have lots of boats around here, and I love teaching Soma about the different boats "from what little I know", but I'm hoping to learn more. I'll definitely post what I find on Mondays from now on fer sure! :-)
