Photo Hunters September 1 - 2007

Please do not be frustrated. The DIRT is after this short text.
It was very well planned. Our Mushroom "hunting" in the wilderness this Saturday. We have had a secret place for years. With plenty of Mushrooms. More than we could bring back. Positive as we are, we equipped with what mushroom pickers allways bring: A wooden basket (no 2 large) and small, sharp knives. Went into the Car, and drove for some "secret" time, and into the wilderness. Mushroom paradise.

What was there? Dirt. All destroyed. Our Mushroom paradise destroyed.

Oh what a shame! What has happened? Have you had floods or have people been "tampering" with nature (probably the same thing).

Oh NO!
What has happened?
Who did this?
Was it evil land developers?
Will there be a Wal-Mart there in a couple of months?

@To all of you: This forest belongs to a comapany that have a.o. a Paper Mill nearby. For the first time in decades they have started to harvest the forest here. It's only 7 minutes drive from our Summerhouse. Yeah.
More to come ----

I'm so sorry to hear about your mushrooms. My sister loves to go hunting for Morel mushrooms in Michigan. Perhaps your son does the same?
