Boats on Monday
Small boats used by local fishermen at Gotland, Sweden, in the Baltic seas. Small boats like these and simular types have been used in the Nordic countries for centries. If you look closely, you might recognize the shape from the Viking Ships.

You don't see many boats like this anymore. I love the way you captured the old wooden boats on the shore.
oh i mmediately thought of a large viking ship when i saw these. these small boats are simply works of art and you have captured them so beautifully. i'd like to go for a paddle now, thank you...
I posted a boat Tor! :-)
Great example of a good Nordic boat construction Tor!
You do understand why I couldn't have just ONE boat in my post today hah? *giggles*
I just had to get rid off it from the drafts even, it were holding down my whole blog... *giggles*
I wonder if it may be my longest post ever....
Very nice! perfect point of view! It looks very romantic to me!
I wouldn't mind paddling about in a lovely boat like that. Of course, not in this rain we are having tonight. I promise to keep it all here. ;-)
Oh! Oh! Every where boats! They are beautiful Tor!
Beautiful photo.
I have alot of boat photos, will see if I can make a boat post.....
I LOVE old wooden boats, Tor, and well remember the Viking Ship museum we saw last summer in your lovely country!
Like all the others, I like wooden boats. They are charming!!! (only, it takes so much work to own one)
For small boats like this we call them 'sampang' in Malay :D
I did recognize it; in fact, I thought it WAS an old one. Silly of me to think something that old would still be lying on a beach!!
