Apple Blossom Time 2008 - Norway

Here you see our youngest Apple Tree at Blossom in May 2008 ( Thursday May 13, when we returned from Work). It's situated close to the Road, and people sneak to have one of these sweet and juicy apples in the Autumn/Fall. Even the Postman. LOL. That's Ok. We eat the Apples fresh and make Chutney out of the rest. If there is still more, Anna brings them to School for her students that lives downtown Oslo, or they at School make Apple Pies.
Wordless Wednesday

PS. Do you know what Nation that do have National Day on Saturday, May 17?

Lovely blossoms. :)

We had lovely peach and apple blossoms way back in March. Too early really.

Apply chutney is something I haven't had in forever. Sounds good.

That's such a vivid photo -- did you do anything to enhance it or was it really that much of a contrast?

The sky is a very beautiful and complementary background to these blossoms. It really is extraordinary how these delicate blossoms evolve into wonderful fruit.

That tree would be a great place to socialize.

Wow! How nice to have an apple tree in the garden and enjoy the sweet juicy fruit. I would have lots of dishes to prepare with them. :)

As a young girl, Tor, I remember the apple pickers throwing us apples in our yard as they passed us on their flat-bed trucks after a long day's work! :)

Ah yes, both apple blossoms and cherry blossons are the most beautiful, just as your tree.

They're making the spring soooo enjoyable!!! I even like when the blooming is over and it begun to snow flower petals :-)

Yes, we do know what you're doing syttende mai - you're all going crazy! *giggles*

It's aöways a good thing to celebrate hah? We does celebrate it too as you know, but partly - just a tiny bit (lol) because it's Mr L's birthday....
