Texas 2011 – Part 3: Lake Travis in drought
Due to the worst drought ever here in the Texas Hill Country, Lake Travis has changed dramatically. The Waterstand is 54 feet lower than normal.
Here you see Rough Hollow and part of the Marina. No doubt what normal waterstand should be.
Here you see Rough Hollow General Store ….
From Rough Hollow Marina
Enough Water for the Ducks;-)
Boats stranded
Stranded Marinas
Marina Rescue teams have a “Golden Periode”
Rocks you usually not see
Will the Stairways be long enough?
The Island Recidency: No longer an Island
Where have all the Water gone?
Hope Lake Travis will be back to normal again, but lot’s of Rain needed.
More to come..... (When back home)

I will pray for RAIN for them....This is really terrible.
Have a good trip home, Tor.
Sad to see this lack of water. Hope it gets back to normal soon. Your shots are beautiful!
This happens at our Lake Lanier in Georgia, too, Tor. I hate to see it!
This happens a lot in California as well. When we visited in September, the lake was not as low as I thought it might be...
IT is sad, but glad you are out documenting it all. :)
How terrible for the people living there – and the animals too. I hope they will get a lot of rain this winter and spring. By the way if you come to my blog you will see a picture of yourself which I just published in my Meeting with Bloggers post.
Such a lovely lake. I hope the rain will come soon.
I see that you are enjoying the trip in Texas with the lovely posts you put up.
I lived in austrailia when there was a drought like this, it was awful. Hope you are enjoying Texas other wise
Hope you are fine Tor....thanks for sharing all the lovely pixs
