A very bad experience with American Airlines

THURSDAY THIRTEEN
1)My regular readers do know that Ingelin should have been in Oslo by now.
2)She is not.
3)Still in Miami due to American Airlines.
4)She will on my blog tell you what happened
5)and then why you should avoid American Airlines.
6)At least if you are going to Europe.
7)The superviser did not know how much luggage allowed to Europe
8)This was at International Check-in
9)They spent 20 minutes to find out
10)It must be embrassing to have such low standard on personel
11)No excuses given
12)No compensation given
13)"You must write an e-mail" the only answer given - it will come plus bad reputation on a blog

Stay tuned for the full story

PS. Let us show the Big Companies they can not any longer take their customers as granted. Blogging is the strongest free media to tell them and reveal them when they mistreat and deliver bad services and behaviour. So please, when Ingelin have posted her story, deal it with others.
(Traditional medias these days are scared from doing any critisism - they can loose advertising money - free press?)

My recent flight to Puerto Rico and back from Mexico was with American. The worst ever!
Sadly, I fear that the fine days of flight are over and we will see more and more of this.

@Maribeth: It's sad to hear you have had the same experience.
Let us use the Power of blogging. As soon as Ingelin has written and posted her story (that will be on my blog), let's share it with all our blogger friends and let them in tour share it with their friends.
My daughter is a good writer. You remember?:
http://www.ingelin77.blogspot.com/

I think it's very important that we, as consumers , tell the big Companies: We have choices, You are not alone, We are in Power, treat us well or we tell who you are.

For US Companies I do realize it's of uppermost importance, else the US will fall back in a deep "shadow" of it is meant to be: A cradle of innovation.

hugs

Poor Ingelin seems to have been having a very bad time recently. I do hope that is the last incident.

I do so agree about big business needing to realise a few home truths. Someone needs to tell Ryaniar that they aren't above consumer choice. I think they have taken a step too far with their latest advertisement.

@d. chedwick bryant: Normally I'm the first to excuse a mistake from a service employee. But - when it seems to be a pattern, then we as consumers, must alarm.
Hope you will read my daughters story, on my blog, and then pass it along to all your friends around the Globe. That's the only way such companies management understand the difference between value of good and bad reputation and Gread.

I agree with you: European Airliners are far better than Americans (I only now Air India from Asia - and that is also garbage) - except the extreme low price comapnies. Then you have real trouble and unexpeted cost and lack of services.

Thanks for your comments. My daughter will be stimulated

@a.: I still can't understand how people tells me:
- it's so cheap to go to London form Oslo. Only NOK 1.
and they do believe that is the real cost.
Well with the Ryanair from "Oslo" it at least two hours busdrive. thatæs not for free. Luggage? Hahaha? Is that for free (New slogan: Bring your teethbrush for free (Toothpaste is forbidden, can be explosives) and go to London

Airport taxes included? No
Internet shopping? No
It's a charge for every time you are in contact with them.
And millions are trapped every tear.
Total cost of travelling is not a common known calculation. That's way they live.

On the other side: Most of the Trad Airliners do not what to do.

btw. Hope you will support my daughter whenafter she has written about her AA experiences.

Oh, poor Ingelin, how annoying for her.

I have an airline horror story from the news last night. Jetstar (a local airline) flights were grounded at Sydney airport the other night because of very bad storms. The domestic terminal staff made those people go out onto the pavement to sleep because they were going to lock the terminal for the night and the passengers couldn't stay there!

Since when do they put people out on the street because their flights are cancelled? Usually they offer them a hotel for the night...not Jetstar!
