Short Vacation Report: Papa met Comedy+

You know papa and Anna loves to travel and meeting people.
 
Yesterday we met Comedy+, her husband and a lot of other boatlovers at a Yacht Club.
What a blast of an event….

Papa received a new Lense and went for a Walk

 
We did enjoy the Sun in the Back Yard and relaxed waiting for UPS to deliver Papas new 55-200 mm Nikon Lense. Thanks to Stephen.

When the package arrived, Steve had to check the quality. 
What then after receiving my new Lense? We headed on at the Texas Hill Country Roads. Take Care during heavy Rain in the bottom of the Hills. No joke, I assure you;)
 
We went to pick up the Dogs at the Kennel -  Copperstill Kennel.
A Jeep or van is recommended on the tiny road…
 
Here you see young Buddy. He was simply exited too meet us again. Good boy.

Here you see the Kennel owner, who as well will train Buddy for several weeks in January.
 
Papa has heard rumours: Take care, it’s rattle snakes in Texas.
Then papa went for a walk all by himself in Lago Vista. Needed to be familiar with his new Lense. 90 minutes. Here are some Photos, click and study if you have time to enjoy…

A Sunny Day at Lake Travis - Texas

Friday, December 10, 2010, we went on a Boat trip at Lake Travis. Sunshine, some wind, in the 70’ies F or around 23 C.
 
Walking down to the Marina. due to the Fact Lake Travis is a Dam, the Marina is build to be flexible regarding Water Stand.
 
The Boat had to be undressed. Papa was responsible for taking Photos.

Istanbul surprise for the Family - travel report

My regular readers might remember my daughter Ingelin and Kaya got a Son on October 25 last year.

They gave him the name Metin Leander - which means "Strong as a Lion".
 
Metin Leanders grandmother Zeynep, Kaya's mother,  is born in Istanbul. Here they are together in Haghia Sophia.
Guess the surprise, when she and the rest of the Famliy realized this fact:
 
The Leander Tower.
Yes, rigth there just offshore on a tiny Island at the Asian part of Istanbul where the Marmara Sea and the  Bosphorus meets. It was first buildt in 408 BC.

Today, there is a restaurant in the first floor and a café at the top of the tower. And as far as we know, even a Night Club. A Family surprise.
Well,  in short we can say:
 
Hasan's Bridge – in the center of the Photo.

And on top of the Pudding: Zeynep's building

and as well Leander's Tower photographed from Hasan's appartement with view over Bosporus and Marmara Sea, means:

Family "rules" Istanbul or Miklagard as the old Vikings used to name this ancient metropol ;)
We have had lot's of fun regarding these "facts" also that East meets West and our kids, the Parents of Metin Leander met in Hong Kong. Small Planet;)
We hope they would live in a peaceful and prosperous world. Wherever they will settle.
So says all their Parents.
