Hi Toraa, Happy WW! I am sorry about the Batman movie, it was supposed to be good the last I heard. I won't be going at any rate, it isn't my kind of movie.
Thank you for peeking in at our new-to-us poodle dog, Katrin. She is adjusting to us nicely. :-)

Bummer you didn't enjoy the movie, I thought I heard it was supposed to be pretty good.....that was probably a critic though and somehow they don't always agree with real life people.

Thanks for stopping by my blog!

Nice capture with the lighting. I did enjoy the movie, not so much the actual story line, but I was very impressed with Heath Ledgers performance. When I closed my eyese that night I kept seeing his evil little face. Thanks for stopping by and Happy WW!

Actually, I was one of the original people to name the theater when it was first being built. I've forgetten some of the details, as quite a number of years have passed & my memory isn't improving with age!) They held a contest in the local newspaper. I believe there were 7 of us who submitted the name "Celebration Cinema". I won a T-shirt (which I still wear to the movies on occasion), a polo shirt, & free movie passes for a year. I also got to attend the grand opening party with a private movie screening. A few years later, when they opened the 2nd Celebration Cinema in Grand Rapids, I also got to go to that grand opening/private screening & they provided very nice hotel accommodations as well.

As for the movie... I thought it was the best one I've seen so far this year. That list includes Narnia: Prince Caspian, Indiana Jones & the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Iron Man, and The Incredible Hulk (which I liked enough to go see a 2nd time). It was intense & really kept me on the edge of my seat. Usually I'm pretty good at guessing movie plots, but I had no idea how Batman was going to turn out. I'm truly sorry you didn't enjoy it as much as I did, but I thank you once again for treating us last night.

@To All: Let me explain, why I wrote Awsome. OK?
The actors did a great job so did all technical personel. Lot's of fantasy and creativity. Even some James Bond copies; Michael Caines role.
I found the story a bit "thin" though and the brutality, i.e, a human life is worth nothing - nil - zero is what I did find Awsome. There is enough brutality going on in real life, so why pay to see a movie, even though it's only fiction,to watch brutality?

However, it was my first visit to a movie Theatre in USA. The visit in itself was very pleasant and positive.
PS. I got a Senior Ticket. Hurray.

Left Michigan around 7:15 Eastern Time. I'm now in a Radisson hotel in Rockford, North Illinois.

@"Thorbeard Berserkbear": Thanks for your information. Very interesting. And now "your" movie Theatre has been known world wide. May I have a free Ticket on my next visit? LOL.

I didn't realise the new Batman movie was as violent as you say, Tor. Thanks for that, because I definitely won't go and see it. I don't like violence, as you say, there's enough of it in real life.
