Papa takes some Photos on a Rainy Saturday

What to do, when the rain is pouring down on a Saturday?

Well, papa did think about the small things in daily life.
Things that matters, without the big headlines.

Traditional Norwegian Feast Appetizer: Shrimp cabaret, or Shrimps in Aspic – you can see all the ingredians.
Sauerkraut or just new Cabbage 
A very traditional vegetable: Cabbage – Here what we call summer Cabbage. Just pour some white wine before heating – do not cook for to long – should be served both crispy and warm.

Interesting serie of photos, following you. Oh, I love those flowers, gräslöksblommorna!

We call that white cabbage here in Sweden. We eat that a lot now with our new diet, it's VERY healthy food!

We of course like new cabbage too. I like it best cooked lightly with a little butter salt and pepper on top. Glad you made good use of the day with an interesting series of photos. We will have to come later in the summer when the tomatoes and chili peppers are ready for taste testing!!

I thought you did very well for a rainy Saturday. I love cabbage, cooked just as you said or with just a tiny bit of water, butter and fresh ground black pepper...and still crisp. Yummmmm

Dear Father,
I just catched up on your blog and see that you are sitting and not singing in the rain, but that Stompa is still gone and that you moved to the summer house.
I wonder what happens this year, it sounds as if it rains a lot up there north ! We have cool temperatures too for the season !
