We entered before noon on Friday, December 1, 2006. As you can see, no blue sky, but luckely, no rain. Too mild for snow. Not too many people, this time of day. I did not buy anything but a Christmas Lunch.

I lived in Copenhagen for 2 ears in the 70s and do remember the Advent time was nice there too:-)
How could you resist buying some of the Christmas tree ornament?
See you - and this time in Sweeden:-)

Wow, what a nice and elegant Christmas decor.

The Icecastle is very impressive. It would be nice if you could focus the castle though...thank you for sharing these photos TorAa. Enjoy...

oh the photos are so wonderful! This is what I miss. I just don't understand why they can't do this in north america...

It's called consumerism. They want you to buy in the stores... I detest it! Ah so lovely, thanks for sharing!

Oh Tor, I would love to see this someday. I am so happy that you posted these photos. Growing up, we had a gnome very similar to one in your photo and it also had the wish "God Jul" painted on it.

I would be hovered by the warming fire, but all the lovely sights would be enough to lure me away. :-)

@Lisa: I know this is a part of your Danish heritage, and I'm happy to hear you still remember all this Nordic xMas traditions.You are very welcome to the Nordics.
@ET: I understand you miss tradtions like European xMas Markets. Did you see similarities between the one in Tivoli and the one RennyBa blogged about in Oslo(Folkemuseet)?
PS. Why not start one in Stanley Park with the nordic ones as model?
@Gattine: I'll love to read and see pictures from the market in Aachen (Aix-la-Chappel).
@Raquel: Thank you.
PS. My camera is mainly for daylight summer use, so I think I'm moving to the southern hemisphere from Nov-Feb.LoL.
@Renny: I resisted buying because I'm going to visit my favourite blogger in Mariestad, this weekend. Z U.
