Spring is in the Air

Once in a while I pay downtown Oslo a visit. This Thursday - or Torsdag named after the God - I went to town to have some x-rays taken. It was a sunny day, and everybody felt Spring is in the air. What a wonderful feeling after a long and dark winter. One certain sign of Spring, is all the yellow Narcissus in the flowershops. We call them Easterlillies. A little to early to plant them out, as we still have, and can expect, frost. At least during the nights. The picture is taken in the old Railway Hall.

PS. Join the A-Team blogcruise. We will visit Oslo very soon. Hosted by RennyBA and me.

We are seeing all tulips and Daffodils in the shops just to put indoors. We still have a lot of snow but it will be milder soon and maybe the sap will be running soon for maple syrup!

20C? In March? Wow! We didn't come up in more then 6C and a terrible FOG. The birds has started singing loud so they're convinced, it's spring :-)

About the cyber cruise:

A-Team Cruisers has some advantages before the A-Swab Team or temporarily guest passangers (as all the others will be) as you notice. They get to be hosts in certain ports of the cyber trip among with other things that can pop up during the way.

To become an A-Team Cruiser it demands to start in the A-Swab Team a while OR to have something special to offer.... *lol*

Read more about it here:
About the cyber cruise event

Everybody is welcome to cruise with us though :-)

Your cruise sounds interesting, I'm not sure what you'll be doing but will look forward to seeing the results.

How lovely to see the spring bulbs. We call the narcissus "jonquils" here and they come in white and cream as well as yellow.

Enjoy your weekend.

narcissus and daffodils are so lovely after winter. the things we call easter lillies are large white trumpet shaped flowers on tall thick stems. very early we also get tiny white flowers poking through the ground called snowdrops and multicolored ones called crocus. those two are our earliest blooms.

and yes, maple syrup season is great fun! we've got a few sugar shacks in our area that produce lots of syrup.

We are starting to see signs of spring here too Toraa. The day was sunny and melted a lot of our snow. We're looking at warmer temps the next few days. I'm looking for any signs of blooms and blossoms....I just love them. Thanks for the breath of spring Tor....I definitely needed it.
