Cats on Tuesday – 05.15.2007

Felicia is a young Lady. She likes to present herself as a Queen. That means: Clean.
Here you can watch her on the roof, making herself Miss Catworld. No stylist needed. She surely have a long washing instrument: Her Tongue.
Can you see how concious she is? She still ”goes on the Pill”. We have decided that will be the best. To have kittens in our Winterhome. More control for her and us. We have not yet pondered out if it will be this year or next year. You know Felicia and Rosa are born the same day, Oct 31, 2003, as sisters. But we do think they are half sisters. Their Mother was very popular among the males. I have posted pictures of Sali, their Mother, some times ago.

Then, I’ve told you about Manx. They love to stay high. And found their own entrance over and under the roof. Here is Rosa, coming in from to hole in the Ceiling. I’m happy for the mistake Niklas and I did when we constructed the roof and Ceiling. At least, Felicia and Rosa do find it very practical and comfy.

Monday they stayed indoor. It was raining ”Cats and Dogs”. And a typical ”Green Summer”.

Love your cat(s).

Mieuw.

What an unpolite cat you have just sticked her tongue at me ! I am scandalized but looking in these beautiful eyes of Rosa I calmed down. Indeed this hole is pratical, must be funny to see them dropping from the ceiling, lol !
I also looked through your shopping adventure and wanted to know if you have Internet now or do you still use your office hours (shame on you)
I watched a reportage about Norway last week and can understand now why you really need Internet with so long and dark winters ! I didn't realize that it's already dark at 3 and you almost have no daylight winter and too much in summer !
I bought myself a new Nokia mobile today not a complicated one, but with camera. I had to find an excuse because my "old" one was still new, but I "absolutely" needed it for my roundrip to Turkey now, in case cameras are not allowed in museums.

She is a beautiful kitty, love those stripes. I once had a blue-point Siamese who was lovely too. I didn't get her spayed when she was little. Instead I kept using the hormone pills to keep her out of heat and she had to have them three times before I went ahead and spayed her.

When she was just 10 years old she developed a mass in her mammary tissue on the abdomen. It was breast carcinoma and spread rapidly. They tried to surgically remove the tumor but it came back and spread until she was uncomfortable and in pain and I had to have her euthanized. She was only 11.

Breast carcinoma in cats is totally preventable with early spaying. The pill actually increased her risk to develop the carcinoma. Just be careful with this. I'd hate to see another cat go through what my Raime did.

You are such a wonderful Cat Daddy, Tor. You make it heaven for your Rosa and Felicia without any help from them!

What clever cats you have, to find that hole in the ceiling so quickly. Lovely photos, too.

Your pussy cats are really indulged, aren't they, like all our cats.

You captured the cat's tongue perfectly and what a happy accident that the builder left that space open for your cats! I think your cats told the builder to do that and changed his plans! Cats are smart, you know!

@Gattina: I'm sure Felicia would never have done that if she only knew your were watching;))

Sunrise in Oslo today: 4:38 am and Sunset at 9:50 pm. This meens the day is 11 hrs 18 minutes prolonged since December 21.

In Tromso: Sunrise: 1:34 am and Sunset 0:00 (Midnight) that's + 22hrs and 26 minutes.

Congrats with your new camera. Hope to see many fine results.

What I actually do these days are simple: I write into a document in the evening and prepare the pictures to be posted. Then I can post it during a short break at work. But unfortunatly, I do not have much time to comment on other blogs.

@FelineFrisky: They are clever those two. Hope to post later on, a video when they jump up on the other, much higher roof.

@Kuanyin: You are absolutly right. They love that special entrence.

@Anni: Thanks for the compliments. And that hole makes it more convinient for us as well, but we need to heat during the nights...

@SRP. It's so sad when our beloved cats dies from Cancer. We are very well aware of it and our Vet reminds everytime we ask for more pills.

@Ex-Shammickite: thank you. I'll tell the Cats

@Ginnie: You flatter me. Hugs.

@Puss-in-Boots: Yes, they are indulged. That's their (and our) privilage.

@Mother of Invention: Well, sometimes construction faults may end up happily. Hehe. We were after all lucky. But it costs lots of spelt heating in the Spring and Fall during the Nights....

wash wash wash! when in doubt, wash. always, one has something to wash, if one is a cat. it is very handy.

when i visited norway & sweden it was june, during the longest days of the year. it was so puzzling to my body clock that it never really got dark (at one point in our trip we were quite close to the arctic circle).

it was very strange--at about 2 am it would seem like dusk, then at 4 am or so the sun would be coming up all over again.
