HEAVY - PhotoHunter - Feb 9 - 2008

Circumstances like what you see above have been a heavy reality for many Mountain Cabin Owners in Norway this Winter. It's only one solution: Shuffel off the Snow. Before the Spring and Rain. Then we can really talk about Heavy: Wet Snow - besides: It's very heavy to get rid off it. If not, then you need an insurance - with a Heavy Bill. Or mistreat your Roof.

As you can see here, the Snow was not very easy to get rid of, it was in fact heavy, but, we saved the roofs (by not digging too deep)- Haha - believe it or not - it's part of our SUMMER home you now see.

It's hard to believe. It's the same place. (Our Cats will NOT be there during the Winter - nothing to Catch). That's what's so exciting with four distinct Seasons. It's really Heavy to understand, these 3 pictures are from the same spot (allmost). Here you see Felicia.

Take the Photo Hunt Challenge. It's exiting and demanding. Important is NOT the quality of Photographing, but the intepretation of the Weeks Theme. This weeks challenge is Heavy.
Lot's of intepretations. It's very interesting and learning to see how people around the globe inteprete. It's an important lesson. Do not laugh of others, maybe they will find your's "far off", so to speak. It's about learning and respect. And World Peace.

PS. There is no Rats around here this time of year - even though the Chinese "Year/moon of the
Rats began yesterday. Read from "So Shiok"

This is really interesting. I mean I have complained about no snow in Oslo, Norway and now you show a lot of snow in Norway. Well, in my previous post I have said it is a coast line fenonoma - lets hope for a more normal winter the rest of the season.

Wishing you a wonderful weekend and are looking forward to have you and Anna in our vacation home in Sweden in two weeks :-)

So, now I began to freeze because of your ice cold photo, so I have to go to bed and warm up with my human radiator ;-)

Good night...

Whew. That's a lot of snow. Our snow pack is building up again but we have a ways to go to reach your depth. Those are great photos (especially the summer photos!) My cats are still sleeping, waiting for those mice to return!

Wow it's hard to imagine that they are photos of the same place. WE just don't get much snow in London. I've never actually seen snow that heavy in real life. Have a great weekend

@To all of you: I think you understand why this is our Summer Paradise and why we avoid it during the Winter. Only about 30 minutes drive away from our Winterhome. Can you Imagine?

A perfect combination - we think

At least, our Cats do adore the seasonal changes.

May you all have an inspirering Sunday

That's about what it looks like by me Tor....lots of snow...and more possibly to come. I'm so tired of shoveling sidewalks and brushing cars off. I'm ready for some sunny, warm weather. I'm glad you saved your roof. Heavy snow can do a lot of damage. Take care Tor...

So interesting to see the same place at different moments! Snow is really beautiful. I won't see the snow this winter but I can breathe the fresh air of the snow in the Alpen!

Wow- that is a lot of snow! We haven't been hit that hard this year, but it has certainly happened in the past.

Me too.... I love the changing seasons. I think it would be very uninteresting to have warmth and sunshine 365 days every year. I love the snow!
But you have far too much snow on your roof.... better do a lot of snow shovelling before the spring!

Yes, I can see why you'd need to shovel the snow off the roof, otherwise you'd have no roof and a houseful of snow.

It's hard to believe the two pictures are of the same place...and yes, I can understand there being nothing for the cats to catch. Brrr, too cold for me!

That Snow is FANTASTIC! I love your pictures Tor...I can "feel" that snow, truly! It's like I could put my Mittens in it and make a snowball!

Indeed, Heavy! And Beautiful!!!

That was a heavy snow fall...heavy work for your back too...
I guess I love snow because I have to drive long hours to enjoy it and the streets are prepared, I don't have to shovel!
Wishing you a light week :)
