Skywatch Jan 28 - 2011

First we have to take a "Teleferique" - to have a Skywatch

WARNING
Google and Blogger  do not allow me to use photos from my other blogger-account. They do say the url is incorrect, Even they are real URL's. In addition Google claims their Picasa photosharing service is free of Charge.
In Norwegian:

This not true, because you have to pay after storing 1 GB+ with Photos.
And I've as well observed that the same photo (in fact many) have been stored several times in the Picasa Netalbum.


I'm just a "little man", a single user, so I do not think Google will change their customer attitudes or marketing information. I accept services costs money, but I will like to know up-front in matter to plan ahead. And when Google buys new companies, Terms and Condtions changes. The phrase "Free" has got a new meaning.


At least I've warned several companies NOT to use Google's "free services". After all they are NOT FREE. The Bills are coming besides all the trackings and Spam.


So what do I do to post Photos on my Blogs?
For the present I use Windows Live Writer. For Free.

In the Winter We dream about our visit to Provence in October 2010 – Toulon etc

It’s extrodinary cold to be in November here in Oslo, Norway.
About –12 to – 14 C or around 10 F.
Bright Blue Sky – Sunny.
But it’s dark when we leave for work and it’s dark when we returns to home.

Hence, it’s a pleasure to present and think about our visit to the dearest couple Claudie and Pierre first week of October this year.
Here  they are on a Bandol Beach.

You know, when we were there, they were both at Work. Exceptions posted earlier. So this is Anna and me in Toulon.  Some Photos. Let’s get started.

Wednesday we went to Mount Faron, and watched down on Toulon.
I said: Let’s go down there on Friday (I got my hair cut – last time was in Istanbul in July).
 
Said and done. Here from the Harbour of Toulon.

I like the name of this tiny Fishing Vessel – The Small Sardine -Sardinette.

Tribute to Sailors – Toulon has been a mayor French Naval Port since long time…
 
We went up to the old part of Toulon.
Here you see the Theatre Building.
I got my Hair cut, classical short I ordered. €12.

After a Sightseeing using our own feets, we needed a nice meal 
Pierre worked very late, so we started with a traditional Tomatoe salad, Provence style, prepared by Claudie. So simple and delicious 
Then Pierre arrived and served Fish Soup.
He should open a Restaurant. Really a great Cook, he is.

Seafood and testing Crémant de Bourgogne.
 
We had an excellent dinner, and had to take care when climbing up the Stairs.

A fabulous view and something we did not knew

Happily Claudie and Pierre had a day off from work – even mid week -  when  they so gently hosted us first week of October 2010.
So what to do?
Among 1000's of options we choosed the Sky.

Why not?
 
Risky business ?– well – it swinged
 
What was the idea. Was it a View?  Pierre did test while Claudie awaited the result.
La plus belles rade d’Europe – agree? OK – the view from Flöien Bergen Norway can compete.
 
We went for a Walk – 30 minutes or so on the plateaux

And we did visit this sacret place.

It was closed when we where there, but you can see and think  your own thoughts
We went to the ZOO.

They do care of Cats, all seizes here . feed them and bring them back where they natural lives. Humans protect them in one hand, and kill them with the other.

Suddenly something very unespected – have never seen or heard about before.

Did you know these animals was domestic? Used by Farmers in Southern Europe in the Middle Age to keep the Mice away.  They now live as wild animals. Hardly known and seen.
