New week - new ABC challenge: The letter J

Since my Blog is written in a kind of English, I've given me a double challenge: The objects must begin with the same letter or sound in both Norwegian and English.

Let us start like the year does. With the first month of the Year, according to the western calendar.
And very Norwegian.
As many of my readers around our Globe do think about Norway.
January - januar

Other Months beginning with J: June - Juni and July - Juli. Our Sumerhome is up in the Hills in the background. You see, we have nice Summers in Norway as well.
Jarlsberg Cheese - Jarlsberg ost

First time I did visit my Son in Michigan, we among others went to a Cheese Shop in Holland, Michigan. To have something else but the Pre-Sliced American Cheddar. We asked for the owners first choice:
- It's without doubt Jarlsberg, he said.
- Why, I asked
Then he started a long, fantastic and very engaged explanation. About this Norwegain Cheese, sold World wide.
- I'm impressed, I replied, we will have two pounds please.
After we had payed, I showed him my Passeport.
The shop-owner smile widely and then he gave us some of his second choice: Emmenthaler from Switzerland;))
And said thank you and good luck, have a nice stay here in Michigan etc etc
