150 years ago, the Norwegian Writer Knut Hamsun was born. In 1920, he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature "for the epic, Growth of the Soil.
He is still very disputed in his homeland Norway. Said to have some sympa with national socialists, known as the German Nazi's. There is no doubt he was fascinated by German Culture, which in his youth included the most renown European Composer, Painters and Poets.
I have read all his novels, poems and plays. Nobody has revealed humans better than him. And in such a fascinating way. With deep insight and humour as well.
As an Author he was brilliant. Nobody disputes that fact.
