Papa meets blogger friends in Norway

First Weekend of April we had the pleasure to meet Ginnie and Astrid who came up from Holland to Oslo, Norway. Remember?

Last Sunday, the two adventure women returned from a 5 Days Cruise from up North in Kirkenes, close to the Russian Border down to Bergen. And even a Day and Night in Bergen when they met another blogfriend, Charles. On Sunday they embarqued the Day Train from Bergen to Oslo, crossing the Mountains.


Papa picked up the beautiful Ladies at Oslo central Station and had the pleasure to drive the to the Winter Home, about 10 miles (15-16 km south in Oslo).
 
Winter Home? We could sit at the Veranda.
 
Later we went inside for Dinner. Avacados with Mayonnaise and Caviar as starter. You might also use pilled shrimps instead of Caviar. Or what your fantasy figures out.
 
And Homemade Gratinated Fish. They listened to Anna when she explained her recipe.

Dessert? Raspberries from our Summer House.

Papa received a new Lense and went for a Walk

 
We did enjoy the Sun in the Back Yard and relaxed waiting for UPS to deliver Papas new 55-200 mm Nikon Lense. Thanks to Stephen.

When the package arrived, Steve had to check the quality. 
What then after receiving my new Lense? We headed on at the Texas Hill Country Roads. Take Care during heavy Rain in the bottom of the Hills. No joke, I assure you;)
 
We went to pick up the Dogs at the Kennel -  Copperstill Kennel.
A Jeep or van is recommended on the tiny road…
 
Here you see young Buddy. He was simply exited too meet us again. Good boy.

Here you see the Kennel owner, who as well will train Buddy for several weeks in January.
 
Papa has heard rumours: Take care, it’s rattle snakes in Texas.
Then papa went for a walk all by himself in Lago Vista. Needed to be familiar with his new Lense. 90 minutes. Here are some Photos, click and study if you have time to enjoy…

A Birthday Dinner – Anna 62

Monday, September 20 – 2010,
it was only Anna and papa at the Dinner Table. Silent. Only the sound of the Candle Lights and our own breath.
 
Until this was served- King Crab.
  
And the Champagne was opened and enjoyned. Moët et Chandon Imperial.

Crick – crack  - see how informal this BD celeb was. Just sooo relaxing. Food and beverages: Luxurious.
 
Then Chicken Breast was served with green peas warmed in real butter. And some fresh Tomatoes. Simple as that.
 
Red Wine for Anna. Sainte Estéphe – Medoc – France.
 
White Wine for Papa. Chablis 1er Cru.
 
Dessert? Panna Cotta.

Well, this was the official part of the celebration. We enjoyed an Evening just for the two of us. (Ok, then, the Cats were  here as well and got their part of the meal).

Tomatoes, hot pepper etc , some weeks later than normal, but they will come in due time..

Next? Papa need some Salt Water treatment: Old feet you know. LOL.
   
Then, Rosa was very reluctant regarding her human slaves and tried to stay very incognito:
Ok, Papa had to admit he did some professional work as well…
But that is in Norwegian, a language  less than about 1 out 1000 understand here on planet Earth.  Excotic?
