A Birthday Dinner – Anna 62

it was only Anna and papa at the Dinner Table. Silent. Only the sound of the Candle Lights and our own breath.
King Crab and Champagne
Until this was served- King Crab.
Champagne
And the Champagne was opened and enjoyned. Moët et Chandon Imperial.
Anna and King Crab
Crick – crack  - see how informal this BD celeb was. Just sooo relaxing. Food and beverages: Luxurious.

Then Chicken Breast was served with green peas warmed in real butter. And some fresh Tomatoes. Simple as that.
Anna 62 - Red wine
Red Wine for Anna. Sainte Estéphe – Medoc – France.
Anna 62 Chablis
White Wine for Papa. Chablis 1er Cru.
Panna Cotta
Dessert? Panna Cotta.

Well, this was the official part of the celebration. We enjoyed an Evening just for the two of us. (Ok, then, the Cats were  here as well and got their part of the meal).

A very special Dinner - dedicated Captain Lifecruiser

What a great evening with Friends
You know, not everything from a Dinner may be posted.
But I tell you:

We started with fresh Strawberries and a Riesling from Alsace and Sparkling Water, in our Kitchen. As you see, our selected guests left some berries to Anna and me;)) That's what's friends are for. Right?

Then we went to the Living Room.

Roar (That's a masculin name not a sound from a wild preditator)
my old pal from School back in the early 60'ies, is a master in opening Champagne.
Justh look at his unique way of opening a Dom Perignon. Not at single drop spilled.
And opened soundless. Only Masters can do that.

Ready for the course?
Ok, here we go:
First of all you need to have a "Dom" in your home.
Secondly, you need an expert to open the bottle correctly.
As you allready know, we had both the expert , the Dom and a Towel

Mission completed

Below is the Table with the Dom:

As a starter with the Champagne, which in fact was a gift from Mrs and Mr Lifecruiser to Anna's 3x20 Event in September last year, we served Gravlax with a mustard sauce, special made for this fish, and home baked bread with real Butter.

Main Dish was Venison. The very best. Carree de Venison.

And Anna knows how to serve it perfectly.

With Green Beans from our Summer Garden and "Hasselback"- potatoes ( a wondeful Swedish creation you must try), Game Sauce and fresh mashed Partridgeberries (tyttebær).

From here on, papa had to admit: I joined the meal and the conversation, and forgot you my dear blogger friend. I did not take any more Photos. But I'll reveal the rest of our meal - in words.

Then we had Cheeze. One French Camembert (10 hours in Room temperature) and one Blue, a Norwegian Selbu, that is top World Class. Only available locally and a few other stores.

Dessert? As usual Rasberries from our Summer Garden and genuine Vanilla Ice Cream. And Eclairs.

We ended up with Espresso and very "dark" chocolade. Even a taste of Calvados.

Haha,
when our distinguished Guest had left:
This is how the Table looked like:

But, but what about the Cats?

Did they have a great time as well - served fav dishes

Miieow - Felicia in one of the Kitchen Windows

Mieaaw - Rosa in the Bedroom Window
And here the Day after:

Anna Sunday Morning.

But, where is papa?
Behind the Camera. Where else?

What we talked about for about 7 houres?
You will only know, if seated for a Dinner with us. Is that too much to demand?

PS. I'll send you a very special postcard if you can describe my clothings in this written moment;))

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR MOTHER - 89

My Mother is 89 this Sunday October 12 - 2008.
We would surprise her. Where she now lives - at the elderly home. 40 minutes by public transportation from our Winter home.

And brought a bottle of Champagne, in fact this bottle was a gift to Anna at her's 3x20 celeberation some weeks ago. She wanted to share it with my Mother. The bottle was a gift from Frode (my good childhood friend - which my mother also know very well) and his woman, Astrid. So we shared memories from the 40 and early 50'ies.

We also brought 4 glasses. And Blue Grapes from our Summer House Garden (She was there before I was born). And guess who has blogged about our Grapes to Day? Click on Blue Grapes.

When we arrived, my Mother was not alone. My x-wife (scroll down to see) and our good friend Solvi had arrived some minutes earlier.

We talked and talked and enjoyed the Champagne while I unpacked my PC and connected to Internet via my Mobile Device. My Mother wanted to see how it is with her Grand Son Mats, who is living in Michigan.
She is very proud of her Grandson. My youngest boy.
Then we clicked into to Anna's 3x20 event, as shown some weeks ago here at this blog.
we left 1/4 of the Champagne in her fridge. She needed some early evening food - and we left. See the Blueberry Muffin?
We had a good time together.
And are looking forward to next years Grand Old Lady Event: 3x30 - Hurray.

Destination Captain Lifecruiser - The real Cruise

When Cyber comes to reality - something happens - Part 1

My regular readers and A-team members may have observed that Anna and I wanted to visit our respectable Captain Mrs Lifecruiser. We did. This time it was not a cyber-cruise but a real one. This story starts with a cyber-cruise you probably not have enjoyed before. (The whole truth about this journey will appear as soon as my brain comes back to normal – I’m only a crew member – remember that). You may also recall my post from the Göta Channel with boats in the middle of farmland- here can everything happen. Enjoy the pictures and the fantastic fact bloggers from different countries can meet this way.

Captain Lifecruiser

Mrs and Mr Lifecruiser do enjoy their Vacation at Fårö – just North of Gotland, Sweden – an Island in the mid of the Baltic Sea. More to read here: http://lifecruiser.com/
They have enjoyed their summer vacations for years at Per’s Farm. And for years all personalities staying here have formed a wonderful friendship and society. I can confirm it's heartwarming - if you believe in friendship before "dead things".

Per looked at something (it was not my Car)

That’s too crazy, he thought - no channel, no WATER

But he had to look one more time - Crazy friends from Norway

Here is what he looked at - mr Lifecruise delivering something - for the cruise

A real cyber cruise - or a green cruise.... (Green thoughts to day of course)

With Champagne

Can we drink it as well?

At the green sea?

Well, the captain did cross The Green Sea with open mouth – that was what she did.

After the cruise - it was about time to do something else. Say hello to the Lamm. That's what's they are named here at Gotland and Fårö.
If you found this journey inspiring, well then we are inline. There is more to come. Our journey to and from was in it self, what most people would say, not piece of cake - so stay tuned. It's a matter of survival. hehehe. And Luck. And - stay tuned.
PS. Thursday afternoon we will pick up our friends from Holland. We met at Lake Tahoe, CA, last year. It's so wonderful to make friendship without boundaries - that's peace creation.
Post Scriptum: Mr and Mrs Lifecruiser are both unique, wonderful, giving people, with a sense of lifestyle and humour rarely found any longer in the western hempisphere. We learned to love them both.
--- Signed Anna and Tor
