Lillis has got a new Home

This afternoon Lillis was picked up by her new humans.

As you may recall, we have been very restricted and demanding when choosing a new home for this very special Cat of the Manx breed.

Photo taken Sunday, March 27. Nearly 5 Months old (Born Nov 3)

Lilli was born during special conditions: Breech Birth. Papa had to grip her back bones and pull her gently out. When out, we were convinced she was dead. But her Mother started to lick her and whatever a Mother could do to bring her newborn allive.

You can see and read about it here.

And she is as well only kitten. And a Manx.

Lillis - a portrait
I simply had to take some more photos of her, as we agreed upon the Day and Time when she would be delivered to her new humans.
We are convinced she will have a great life with them.
Her older sister (Marta) and brother (Manxen/Monsen) lives with and have a great Cat life with the girls  grandpa and wife in their house.

Here you see her new human friends. They have a 13-14 year old Male Cat from before, so we think Lillis will turn up his and his humans life.

Farwell Lillis. We will allways remember you;-)
We know you would have liked to stay with us, but we had to realize it would not have been the best for you.
Lillis you should know, Teardrops kept falling when you left… We wish you the very best in your new Home.

We hope to see Photos and have reports from your new Home and Life.

Cats on Tuesday August 07-07

Since we moved out from our Winterhome to our Summerhome - I have tried to capture Felicia when she jumps up on the roof. Last day, at last, I did succeed. Enlarge by clicking on the photo and be empressed how she controls every moment of her motion. Even without a tail - which many "specialists" have claimed the Cats use to control their jumps. Look how wrong they can be.

CATS ON TUESDAYS

Sunday afternoon - the first day, with "Summertime" this year, was a real Summerteaser. Rosa and Felicia did hang around the Windows from the very morning.

No doubt here: We want to go out.

Out, in our winterhome means the balcony. Which is in a mess. Need cleaning and painting and rehabilitation. Rosa and Felicia could not care less.

Let us out. Mieeeew.

Well, we happens know them very well. We can not let them out on the balcony without watching them. Why? 'Cause it's easy to jump from one balcony to another. That means 45 tempting places to investigate. Thank you, we have experienced the challenge to have them come back to the right spot.

Out with one chair, close the door quickly. Out with a second chair, close the door even quicker. Out with a table. Puh, it was "hot" in the afternoon sun.

Then, open the door, rush back and sit down in the chair. Business as usual.

Rosa ran out and jumped into the "garden". Felicia took more precautions. Here they are on a short video. First time out since October 2006.

CATS ON TUESDAY

Inspections

We need no mama or mother-in-law to our cleaning and health controls. That is taken care of by Rosa and Felicia. Even my armpits, as my regular readers will recall. This week Rosa and Felicia will show my dear readers some examples of their honourable and important appointments as Chief Inspector Officers (CIO's - not to be mixed up with Chief Information Officers).

I'll think I start with the Garbage. They can't fool me, that's waiste of time. Only waiste waiste here.

I will start with checking the Pollock. Then I'll find out if the two-legs hunt quality. Yummy. OK

Have to inspect this one firmly. An el-cable or "playing dead" snake? Miuck - el-cable¤##*

Flowers might be very suspicious. Can be lot's of chemicals here. So take care. We women knows the difference. Mjaa. OK.

Food inspection. Are the Parsley true organic. Have to check like a winetaster. Accepted

Bear inspection performed by assistant apprentice, The Longtailed Stiffer

Is this clean enough for a Cat? Must dig a bit. Check around. Snif - snif - dig - check. Hi, clean up this one. Need new litter. Now.

What's this? Midnight surfing. Let me see if you use the Parent Filter. Just blogging? About what? Cats? OK, but don't tell them all our secrets. Mieaaw?

Night inspection: All calm, no disorder, no dogs, no vampyres - excuse me, a mouse.....

.... see you next week.

CATS ON TUESDAY

This week I will limit the post to The Seven Dwarfs. Yes, you read correct: The Seven Dwarfs. They are the brothers and sisters of Felicia and Rosa. But they have never met. The Seven Dwarfs were born at our Summerhouse 4 and a half years ago. Luckely it was during the Schools summer vacation. Anna was there to help Sali, the mother with 10 kittens that popped out.She really needed a little help. Ten kittens - for a Manx it is very unusual. For not to say a medical sensation, as Manx most typical have 1-2 pr litter, and of them one often deadborn.
With other words an uneasy breed. If you have it as an income. We don't. We have them as our friends.Back to The Seven Dwarfs. They were the survivals of the ten. One, unfornunatly, had to be brought to the Vet. May be the cutest of them all - he was born lamb in his abdomen and was not able to detect when to pi etc. He was allways wet and dirty. That was the sad story, and I will never forget when he sat on my lap prrr-prrr, coz, coz, and I watched the clock, knewing the seconds ran out for him - we had the appointment at 6pm. Five to 6 I put him into the cagde and drove to the Vet. I refused to see the Vet givingen him the needle. It was simply to hard.
I went back to the Summerhouse (Anna was still at work) - and I was not able to keep back the tears - such a wonderful and fidel kitten.

During this Summer, Anna and I had a 5 day tour on the North West Coast of Norway - and My son, with his son Seb one year old, was catsitter.

Guess he was fed up with kittens when we returned. Instense smell and dirt from the kitten and a son still in nappies. What a Vacation for him.
Sali, the cat-mother, all the time moved the kittens to different places. Sometimes outside, sometimes under the house, sometimes in the houses. We had allways to count the kittens, specially when they approached 2 months +. One climbing the rock, one under the platform, one running down to the garden, one inside upstairs, one under the bed, one among the flowers and one trying to clomb the appletree.
They were all given away to people in the vincinty.
I posted pictures, like the last one here in the local shops.

In spite of all the work, it was an unforgetable experience.

CATS ON TUESDAY

Felicia just went into our not so vey clean Office, and said:

- miesleeph? Sleep?
- miejet! Nope - I said
- mjeoh! Yop
- mjoon! Soon - I said

She went away, her tailess tail scratched the ceiling.

I understand her. Long, tall twofoot, goes too late to bed. Allmost every night. Too short time to have real coz. She loves to put me to bed. And roll around upon me. Then creep up under my armes and into my armpit. Sniffing, licking, biting and mrrrr that loud she wake up the neighbours noisy dog. But not Anna. She fells even deeper to sleep by her prrr, mrrr, prrr. Why does that female cat allways stick her head into my armpit? What smell do I have at nights that attract her so strongly? Anna is undisturbed asleep. But that Cat. What's wrong with me. Am I a cat in disguise? Like the frog that became a prince?

Oh yeah, when thinking about it: when coming home home from work, she jumps upon the kitchen table and strech her neck and head towards me. She pretends to just smell if it is really me. Sort of security check.

But I've seen it, when reflecting deeply, she try to KISS me. She want me to be a CAT.

After this discovery I allways sleep with my mouth plastered. I'm used to it now. But I will never get used to wake up with a sore armpit.

PS. This is posted on my new PC, which 3 hours after start-up lacks lots of programs and pictures, even drivers to our cameraes. That's why this post is short and with an old picture. Have mercy.
