Please be patient and take it as an " English - Norwegian lesson and also travel" during Summer - sommer.

I begin as allways with some facts about the Letter:
Origin of the letter S.

And not to forget:
“S” is the letter of the alphabet that represents inspiration. These attractive people win others over with their charm. Influence is an aphrodisiac to them. Others doting on them is the most sensual feeling they can achieve. Loving anything to do with --- read more

From Night to Day - TT from Salta, Argentina

Here this week (Delicious)
Facts and Pictures from our Voyage to Argentina

With such an amount of impressions and Photos from our rescent Silver Wedding Honeymoon in Argentina, well, what else but post some pictures from the Voyage this TT? (PS - You can choose to watch the Pictures only, or take one more minute to learn some interesting facts)
Alle the pictures are from the center of the City of Salta, Capital of the Province with the same Name. Situated in NW Argentina (2 hrs+ flight from Buenos Aires) and founded on April 16 in 1582 by Hernando de Lerma. It was an important settlement on the route from The Vice King of Peru down to Buenos Aires in order to keep control of the Area. An area in which we can trace findings from "modern" Humans 10.000 years back in time. When we still had Ice Age at The Northern Hemisphere.

We arrived Salta Airport around 7 pm ( 4hrs 30 min delayed) and arrived the City only minutes before it was totally dark. A City with People having one thing in Mind: Christmas shopping... coming in from all over the region. Crowed and Road Deviations. (Have you by the way ever experienced your Rent-A-Car company are able to tell you about that?) But we Checked in at our hotel, parked the car, and went out. We were hungry. I mean: Starving. 8 hours without a real meal. (Captain Lifecruiser would have been dead for hours - LOL).
First part of the photo's is how it looked like in the Night, our first impression - the second part how the same buildings etc looks like in Day Light. I will advice you to check facts by clicking on the Links and do NOT FORGET to Click on the Pictures.
NIGHT: (around Plaza 9 Julio)

1) Iglisia Mayor - (Construction started in 1582)

2) Iglisia San Francisco (1882)

3) Galerias and restaurants and cafes - Our First Evening in Salta. A Climate for Vikings - at Night. Sitting outside is what we often Dream about - without beeing dressed for Winter.

4) Cabildo de Salta with Museo Historicó del Norte

5) Plaza 9 Julio at Night. National hero San Martin to the left, some youths in the middle and Iglesia Mayor to the right. Our first impression of the city of Salta: Very friendly, excellent service most places. Quality shops. Easy to walk around. Fresh air. (Altitude about 1150 meters - 3500 feet)

6) What was the name of the hotel? I think I will take a Photo - just in case----
It was easy to remember the name of the street: Buenos Aires -but Hotel name and Street number can easily be forgotten. Right? So many new impressions. And so practical to show the Taxi Driver. If needed. (In fact, the hotel is only 2 minutes strait walk away from the central plaza - but, shops of all kinds, bars, restaurants etc can be very distracting - at least the first evening in a unknown City - I say no more).

DAY TIME: (Summer Time - we were close to Capricorn where the Sun is in Zenit Dec 21/22)
( Now with Links that gives more information - it was too dark in the evening to find the links - LOL)

7) Iglesia Mayor - (Construction started in 1582)

8) Iglesia San Francisco (1882) - I advice you to click on the link. You'll be surprised. No kidding.

9) Galerias and restaurants and cafes - Plaza 9 Julio

10) Cabildo de Salta with a.o. Museo Historicó del Norte.

11) Plaza 9 Julio - San Martin - National Hero - at the Horse

12) Pigeon - even in Salta - let's fly to #13:

13) Salta is a region of very strong contrasts (from High Mountain Desert to Tropical Rain Forest Climate - from modern Bars to Museums that brings you 1000's of year back in human history)

Have a Lucky TORsday. If you have not yet done it, read this.
