Kittens on Tuesday

My regular readers may have observed we have been busy the past weeks and not very active as bloggers.

Below you will see one of the reasons.
Before the photos:
Felicia had new kittens on December 1.
Three have survived. Here you see them the first Day they walked. 19 Days old.

Besides, we are Cat sitters for Felicia's twins, both born July 17, this year..
They will return to their new human parents firts week next year.
They are both great and very healthy Cats and loves humans (after a while).

She is the Female, named "Kviten" - "the White" due to her nose. She really adores us. But her Mother are not that satisfied. Predators life.

PS. Sorry, I'm for the time beeing not able to comment as I normally do.
But will be back asap. This post is just for giving you an update from our daily life with seven Cats.
Just before X-Mas
But that's another story.

Felicia got kittens again

Felica got 4 kittens on July 17 - 2009. After that she has stayed inside ever since, but for a few Days end of September. That was all she needed to get pregnant again even though she gave her kittens milk at that time. And before we could neuter her. If we did while she gave Milk, then she would loose that ability; which had meant a lot's of milking work for us - and when we were both at work during the days..... Nature ruled.

Last evening we realized something would going to happen. Felicia had only a very small portion of her regular dinner, Pollock. No more room for food.

At 11.55 pm it started. And at Midnight they start to come out, the new breed.

Here is # 1 and #2 while #3 is coming out.

This is #2

When we just fell asleep, 4 new kittens were born on the Floor just beside our Bed.

When we wake up this morning, it was 6. Two with Tails, one with a half Tail and 3 like most Manx: Stumpies.

And when I returned Home from work, there were no Cats in our Bedroom.
Hm, where could they be?

I followed the sound. Oh, yeah, they mieows all the time; the Kittens. Behind this chair.

So now they are here, behind a chair. Where will they be next time? Follow the Sound.

The Kittens will be around 4 weeks at Christmas, and Kittens are Kittens: No X-Mas Tree this year. To tempting for a bunch of kitties.

Cats on Tuesday - Nov. 17 - 2009

As my regular readers may remember, the last of Felicia's Kitten got a new home the first weekend of November. We have received several reports about Marta, having a great time, so has her new two-legged parents.

Here is Marta and her Mother, Felicia. Look at their Faces.

Marta was not the last to find food. Here with Stompa, Rosa and Felicia.

Stompa and Rosa playing.

Rosa in her favourite chair.

Felicia is pregnant again. We can't believe it. Two days out was all she needed.

Felicia is allways clean.

COT - July 21, 2009 - Kittens

Felicia gave Birth last Friday.
It startet around midnight.
Number one arrived around 2 am.
She struggeled for around 17 hours.
This time you can click on each photo to enlarge)

Feets first. We helped Felicia. But in vain.

Dead. Wrong way out. Besides too large for a first time Birth.
No Tail. You See?
Summary before more photos:
At 4 am #2 arrived.
Healthy. Great.
At 4:30 am #3 arrived

Papa went to bed.

Her is # 2 and 3. The Black one is #2.

At 8.00 am # 4 arrived.
Healthy.
Proud mama Felicia
.

Here you see the 3 living when papa wake up.
Mama Felicia was very hungry and was away eating for a short while.

At 4:45 pm # 5 arrived. Papa did not want to disturb the new Cat Family, so this is what he was allowed to publish.

Result: 4 living kittens. They seems to be very healty.

I would have liked to post more from this very special event.
You see, we have waited many years tho give Felicia and Rosa the opportunity
to have kittens. Last year was in vain.
This year, Felicia succeeded. We are very happy she did.
Rosa still struggles.
---
Besides, we are going on Vacation.
So what to do?
Planning is one side of the challenge.
The other is what's best for the Cats.

The result will be:
Felicia and her 4 kittens will stay with Sylvi - indoor. While we are away.

Rosa and Stompa (Sylvi's Cat) will stay in the Summerhouse
with Cat-sitters, who will live here, when we are on Vacation. Here they are Tuesday Evening.

We think this is the best and safest result for both the Cats and people.

I hope you, my dear reader, understand, this situation has caused us
some logistic challenges. When talking about the Cats.
Our Garden, travel logistics, and my work, my daughter's pregancy, well,
you might understand papa have had not much time to post or comment.

Felicia and her 4 Kittens will be transported from our Summerhome
on Wednesday to Sylvi.
While we are on Vacation: No Photos of the Kittens. Sorry.
(May be I will take and post some photos from the Move of Felicia and her Kittens from Summer Home to Sylvi, during our Vacation).

Cats on Tuesday - May 16-2009

Miouooow, says Felicia
I might be pregnant.
She was last year as well, at this time of year - but she is a Manx.
Natural abortion is well know with this breed.

Every sign of pregnancy is present.
Behaviour, food, body, yeah everything.

As you might have observed, we have moved out to our humble Summer Home for the 2009 Season. There is still lot's of thing to repair. Needed for humans.

But Rosa and Felicia don't care. They have their own agendas.

Rosa on the lower house roof

Rosa looking for a meal down in the garden

Felicia on her way down the path

Felicia - observing from the Roof

Felicia on the Roof - looking up towards the Rocks

Neighbour - when we move to our Summerhome, it's allways a nice tradition to --- you can imagine.

More COT at Gattina

PS. The first week(at least) when in the Summer Home, I have not much time to comment. Lot's of practical duties around besides a longer travel to work. But I'll come back commenting your wonderful blogs.

Papa's Big Right Toe Again

Papa's big toe have been the point of his body, closest to the Sky for several days.
What worries: The Fact that none of the 4 Medical Doctors involved have any Idea about the reason for what caused the injury.
Papa has been away for several days. From the Blogosphere. That's a horrible thing for his mind. Like beeing put in Jail. Due to a single Toe. But Papa, in his age, need to think about his future. And understand Safty First is priority "1.

Even Felicia understands. She has been very patient and caring when her human's right big toe was the highest point of Papas body. She is a very caring Cat.

It's better now. I'll return to all of you when I can sit down for more than 5 minutes. OK?

Rosa and Felicia - Winter in Norway

Hurray for the Cats
Rosa and Felicia during the Winter here in Norway, stays inside. Unlike the native Cats her at 60 - 70 degrees North.

Here you see them:

Allmost like Bears.
But that's only half of what they do during 24/7. During the Winter.
They are really active, inside. Have you ever seen them running and playing, you'll understand. They are very fast.
Gosh they are really active. Extremely. Even put us in Bed.
Until we sleep.
Mieooow, it's Winter but it's wonderful

The Cats did have a break during a rainy Sunday

Our Cats were fed up with the Sunday Weather. They stayed indoor and refused to listen to the Raindrops on the Roof. Heavy.

But in the afternoon, when the Rain stopped for a while, they went out on the Platform. Rosa shows her back while Stompa looks at me and Felicia looks at Stompa.

Then back again. Gosh, the weather is changing rapidly this "Summer". Stompa and Felicia.
They are back indoor. We expect more Rain Monday until early afternoon. Then the Summer will return. Hurray. (And we will visit a friend from my childhood). Secret. hsssss.

Stompa is back in the Summerhouse

To Day Stompa began his Summer Vacation.

He was picked up in Oslo in the very early afternoon.
Stitting in his Cage on Solvi, he startet to complain about my driving.
He even had to pi to protest. That did not work. I opened my Sunroof.
Then he did his final protest. What a smell. The Sunroof had to be wide open.

So he realized, papa has his remedies and he stayed calm for the rest of the drive.

At the Summerhouse, after some food, he jumped to the roof, to have an overview.

And Felicia wanted to check out if he was comfortable with our new Parabol.

PS. We have had an extrordinary weather. From Saturdays 32 C it dropped to 11 C in 10 hours on Sunday Morning. Heavy Rain and Thunder. Fascinating, but not the temperature drop. Had to heat up with the radiators.
