Papa goes on Vacation - report 2 - The Pirat Traveller

Here is the Pirate Tourist in blood and flesh:
We are still in Nancy, the Capital of the former Dukedome of Lorraine.

Papa went crazy to day. He became a Pirate.
Why? Because he went to the Food Market without having a Kitchen on his disposal.

Here are a very few glimpse, hence you know why papa wanted to steal all what he did see.

Oysters from Marennes, western France. Papa has been there several times and bougth several dousins of Oysters directly from the Oyster Farmers
.
Local "Charcuterie", made at local Farms.

Vegetables, all sorts from local producers.

And look at this - oh, Papa went allmost crazy.
This is only 5% of the different cheeses available at this Market in Nancy.

Much more from Nancy, when back home. You can see, we had a wonderful, Sunny day.

Tomorrow we will go to the middle of France to meet old French friends. 6-7 hours drive.

Christmas market and Crystal Party in Oslo - Favorite

My dear reader,
you might know I was enjoying at luxury dinner last Wednesday evening with good IT-friends
here in Oslo.

As you can see, we were all bright and Crystal clear.

This Friday, I was student again. Joined a course in a course for making excellent Internet based surveys, market analyzis and event feedback.

On my way back from the course, I went through the Christmas Market in front of the Oslo Town Hall, very close to the Harbour.

I was there at a time of the early afternoon when there are very few visitors, but Stars ( 1pm).

During the Winter, this is what you need to cover your feets. Slippers made from 100% Wool.

Here is the Sami Market - from outside. Click to enlarge and you'll see the top of some old Sail Ships.

Then I had to rush to meet Anna downtown (Christmas Shopping).

WORDLESS BLOGGERS - HOW CAN THAT BE?

I had to post these wonderful and colorful flowers which I captured at the Down Town Saint Paul Farmers Market less than two weeks ago. With all their Bright Colors they spread so much joy - and Peace.

PhotoHunt: Colorful - August 16 - 2008

This weeks Theme gave me a different challenge. Not to find, but to choose and prioritize among my Photos. I have Tons of Pictures that could by all means match Colorful. From Autumn Leaves via Tulip Gardens, Colorful Gardens and People to French Impressionist Painters.

Conclusion: I have to post three, very different:

The mens 100 meters final in the Olympics today. The Winner, Usain Bolt, from Jamaica was the most colorful and sovereign sprint winner I've ever seen. New World Record in a way so impressing and his Colorful joy/show thereafter - have not seen anything alike since Bob Beamons legendaric 8.90 meters in long jump in Mexico City back in 1964.

The second is my Colorful meeting with Suzann. Here she is at the Farmers Market in downtown Saint Paul. Blogging connects People.


My 3rd is from the Glass Painting in the Lutheran Church at St Olafs College in Minnesota.

Papa was invited to Farmers Market - on a Sunday

My dear readers do know, last weekend papa stayed in Suzann's home in St Paul.
OK OK - Both of us are respectful people. We just kissed, when I had to leave for my Plane over the Pond from O'Hare to Europe. At 6:15 AM. My luggage is still in Bruxelles, due to a Strike.
So, this is a report, more or less Wordless on a Wednesday: Farmers Market down town Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA.

Every Saturday and Sunday the Farmers Market is down Town Saint Paul.
Just look at the photos, and you'll understand what a blast for me it was. OK?

Tomatoe Season. First weekend with local, organic grown Tomatoes in St Paul area - 2008.

Organic Cucumbers. Make your own Pickles. Suzann's pickles were out of this world fantastic.
